The role
We are looking for a Data Steward to join the Data & Business Intelligence team, helping to implement Data Governance policies to protect data assets and enable long-term innovation.
This Data Steward will contribute to corporate Data Governance policies and activation across data security & access, data definition and data quality.
Some of the responsibilities include
- Function as the Data Steward, expanding on corporate data governance policies.
- Define processes for data security, collaborating with Operations teams to implement this across the organisation.
- Lead on analysis with the Senior Product Manager where business needs dictate the need for a new KPI.
- Formalise the definition of new KPIs, engaging with ops Data Source Owners to align data definition, logic, and hosting for the new dimension.
- Take charge of corporate KPI reporting to senior management and ExCo, including the consolidation of existing attributes and definition of new processes or solutions.
- Lead on the roll out of the Corporate Data definition and dictionary.
- Champion the data quality audit as the go-to person for data availability across platforms.Â
To apply, you should have
- Experience as a Data Steward or in Data Governance, client-side or consultancy-side.
- Experience collaborating with operations teams to implement processes and procedures.
- Hands-on experience across multiple BI platforms, databases and reporting technologies including enterprise databases, ETL, data warehouse, data analytics and business reporting.
- Experience with requirements gathering and analysis, business process modelling / mapping, methodology development and data modelling.
- The ability to collect, analyse and translate complex matters and business requirements into technical specifications.
- Fluent English language skills.
- Experience working with global, dislocated teams in a multicultural environment.
- MicroStrategy and Tableau experience is preferred.
